The Cavs can complete the sweep of the Raptors on Sunday afternoon at Air Canada Centre in Toronto.
Eventually - as it pretty much always is when the Cavs play - it became the LeBron James show.
Unlike in the games in Cleveland, the Raptors kept the Cavs from building a huge first-quarter lead. James scored 13 points in the fourth quarter.
Instead, a 2-for-18 night from distance ruined an otherwise solid showing for three quarters by a Raptors team that was playing without Kyle Lowry, its starting point guard, and playing hard before it simply ran out of gas against a Cavs team that showed more depth than they could offer up.
The team said Thomas has a four-piece temporary bridge that cracked when he was re-injured and replaced at halftime of Game 3 on Thursday.
Kevin Love added 16 points and 13 rebounds for the Cavaliers, and Kyrie Irving also scored 16 while Kyle Korver had 14 points.
Thompson had 12 rebounds.
The Raptors' DeMar DeRozan scored 37 points, but was unable to overturn a 2-0 deficit. Despite going scoreless from 3-point range, Toronto led 52-49 at the half. They did the same thing in the 2016 Eastern Conference Finals, registering all four of their wins against Toronto by at least 19 points. That came midway through the third quarter and the Raps would get only one more the rest of the night.
LeBron James' sensational form in the NBA Playoffs has continued with a 35-point haul against Toronto on Friday night. The team fared surprisingly well, going 14-7 in his absence. He scored 20 points but spent the fourth quarter in the locker room icing his ankle.
DeRozan's night was perfectly summed up when he, a career 82% free throw shooter, missed a pair of free throws to end the first half.
The Cavs, meanwhile, shot poorly in Toronto past year, not because the Raptors played them tougher, but because Cleveland missed more open shots. No such shift occurred tonight, as the Cavs handled the Raptors 115-94 to take a commanding 3-0 series lead. The Cavaliers remain unbeaten in this season's Playoffs having won seven matches in a row. They opened the playoffs with a 7-0 record in 1949 and did it again in 1950.
They looked briefly capable of answering with a win after letting the Cleveland Cavaliers dominate them in the first two games of their Eastern Conference semi-final series.
After getting treatment nearly all of Thursday and most of Friday, Lowry tried to go through the pre-game layup line but left after just a few minutes. Regardless, he can't shoot 2-for-11 from the field and score just five points as he did in Game 2. That means Sunday is possibly his last game with the Raptors.
Lowry is averaging 15.8 points and 5.9 assists in eight games this postseason.
The Atlanta Hawks' next general manager will have total authority of personnel decisions after moves that dismantled the two-tier management team of Mike Budenholzer and Wes Wilcox.
It was clear from the start that the Spurs were going to defend with increased vigor despite the loss of Parker. "That's the most frustrating part is just trying to keep the patience, and play and just get this feeling off us".
