Apple announces watchOS 4, new iPad Pro

Postado Junho 20, 2017

Apple unveiled the latest iteration of the operating system, iOS 11, along with two new forms of iPad Pro and Apple Watch OS at WWDC in california last night.

Originally spotted by Cydia Geeks, when enabled, the Offload Unused Apps feature will remove apps that you never use, while keeping their documents and data on your device.

The most immediately visually obvious one of these is the new app dock, looking extremely Mac-like. iOS 11 also introduces the ability to drag-and-drop content between apps, and much slicker split-screen multi-tasking. If their apps are optimised for 64-bit devices then they won't work on older iPhones.

We're dealing with an early, first beta of iOS 11.

Overall, the new Files app will be a very welcome addition on iOS devices and especially iPads, where it looks very similar to the Finder app on macOS (including support for Tags). Apple promises that iOS 11 will make your "iPad experience even more powerful and personal". This feature uses the various sensors on an iPhone to detect when the owner is driving.

Redditors who have already installed the developer beta are reporting that Apple has purportedly included full playback support for FLAC audio files in iOS 11.

Twitter user Devon T has revealed that iOS 11 has a new volume indicator that no longer obstructs the centre of the screen, as it does now.

Until now, most of Apple Pencil's features were limited to sketching. You can also quickly return to your favorite apps using the redesigned App Switcher.

It's 2017 and Apple's iPad still doesn't support multiple user accounts.

Apple won't make iOS 11 available through its public beta program until next month, but now is as good a time as any to join and get ready for iOS 11. If someone comes over to your place and asks for the Wi-Fi password, it's likely that you're going to have your iPhone or iPad handy to complete the process.
