Mike Comrie will not be charged for rape after a woman accused him of non-consensual anal sex.
After conducting an investigation the Los Angeles Police Department decided there was not enough evidence to substantiate the allegations against the ex-husband of Hilary Duff, according to TMZ Sports.
During the event in question, the woman in question reportedly watched Mike take the first woman into his bedroom.
Good news for Hilary Duff's ex, Mike Comrie.
At some point, though, according to the accuser, Comrie crossed the line by engaging in anal sex - and she alleges she told him to stop, though he refused and eventually choked her.
Despite the alleged sexual assault, the woman then engaged in another consensual sex act with Comrie, she told prosecutors, TMZ Sports reported.
Hilary Duff's ex-husband, former National Hockey League star Mike Comrie, will not be charged with rape, prosecutors said, after he was under investigation for alleged sexual assault.
Comrie, according to reports, was heard on an audio recording by prosecutors telling the accuser woman that all of the acts were consensual.
Authorities listened to the recordings, where they say the Canadian appeared to be heavily intoxicated but was adamant about her consent and did not cop to any wrongdoing.
The other woman involved in the encounter has not filed any complaints.
And could the end of the alleged rape probe against Comrie clear the way for Duff to reconcile with him?
The incident occurred one year after his divorce from Hilary was finalized, after a 2015 filing.
He and Duff married in 2010, and have a 5-year-old son, Luca, together.
Comrie was a center in the National Hockey League from 2001 to 2013, retiring after undergoing his third hip surgery.
