Everything known about "EX" so far includes it being playable on PS4 and it possibly being released on April Fool's Day 2018.

Arika's upcoming fighting game for home consoles received a new trailer at this year's EVO 2017 event.

Even the video description itself confirms it was a polished video made just for fun, stating, "These are April Fools' stories and not being officially considered for release at this stage".

Fans of the developer's arcade Street Fighter series had their hopes immediately dashed.

Arika stated that "This game will be the newest entry in the EX Series".

Skullomania was a character created for Street Fighter EX, a 2D fighting game with 3D graphics that came out back in 1996 as a Street Fighter spin-off. Pre-orders for "EX" and a beta test for the end of 2017 have been only been announced for Japan thus far.

You can see Skullomania and Darun Mister in action with the reveal trailer below courtesy of XusesGB. All three are back in a new game that may or may not be a new Street Fighter EX. Their games introduced a number of original characters, like Garudo, Darun Mister and the best dude in a Skeleton costume ever, Skullomania.

The YouTube description of the trailer notes that, "ARIKA has chose to begin development on a PlayStation 4 version of "Mysterious Fighting Game (Title Undecided)" and make a public announcement on the final day of EVO2017". They also have plans to announce pre-order bonuses leading up to the beta test, but only for the Japanese version.
