As always, you can also download and flash this update manually. Also, new features meant to optimise any device's battery is present.

The latest Android O developer build brings in a lot of bug fixes and stability improvements.

Google today released Android O Developer Preview 4, nearly two months after the last Android O Dev Preview release. On the consumer side of things, Android O contains notification channels and dots, picture-in-picture mode, autofill enhancements, and shortcut pinning. It was rumored recently that with DP4 it would go back to the default gray, but that isn't the case. Plus, it has eight legs, which correlates with Android O being version 8.0.

"I agree to the terms of the beta program" box has to be checked next and tap Join Beta.

The preview will be available for the Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel C, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, or Nexus Player devices. The platform's largest update yet hasn't been popular with everyone, and several notable bugs plus a slow rollout have hindered its success. This is largely why software updates take different lengths of time to reach different devices. PIP mode is already available for Android TV; Android O makes the feature available on other Android devices. The end result should be better audio for all of us. These are like categories that you can turn on and off individually. Google is building this into Android O. In addition, if you long-press the icon, a pop up on the launcher window gives you a list of actions to deal with the notification. This looks more modern and apt for Android 8.0 OS. There's also the option of manual flashing if you prefer. The developers can verify the working of their apps before the version is rolled out to the general public. Android 8.0 contains an octopus that you drag around the screen. Past updates include names such as Jellybean, KitKat, Marshmallow and Nougat. Another change that we notice is that the font has been changed so that all the text is not in upper case anymore. According to reports, the beta version is doing well and is reliable.
