During the two-day exercise in Abuja, participants were screened by the committee headed by Ondo State Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi.
The All Progressives Congress governorship primary election Screening Committee has cleared 12 aspirants for next Saturday's primary election in Anambra state.
While commending the aspirants for their doggedness and determination, Ajayi said all the aspirants compiled with the guidelines and signed an undertaking form to support whoever emerges candidate of the party.
The party's National Organizing Secretary, Osita Izunaso, who received the report, congratulated the aspirants for qualifying to participate in the primary.
"We have all signed an undertaking to support whoever wins at the primary", he said.
He also commended the aspirants saying "so far we have not recieve any report of violence among all the aspirants. We urge you to carry on and we are very hopeful that one of you will eventually emerge the next governor of Anambra State".
Speaking with journalists shortly after he received his clearance certificate, Senator Andy Uba assured members of the party that he would stand with APC, whether he eventually wins the party's ticket or not; adding that the incumbent governor of the state "must pack his load and go because APC must win Anambra".
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has cleared six out of the seven aspirants seeking to contest the Anambra governorship election on its platform.
