Conte regrets Matic sale to Manchester United

Former Manchester United star Dwight Yorke has predicted that United striker Romelu Lukaku will score more than 20 goals in his first season with the club.

Rose, 27, wants to win trophies and could quit Spurs for a move to a Premier League rival.

They say the United boss is frustrated with Luke Shaw's attitude and he could be used in a swap deal to land Rose.

MANCHESTER UNITED have spent big this summer, but has Jose Mourinho missed out on the best talent around?

He'll spend 12 months at Selhurst Park and wear the No.24.

"But he's still a very good player to sit in front of the back four, do the simple things, pass the ball - he's good at what he does". However, Neville does not seem convinced by the 22 year-old Frenchman.

"If Nathaniel Chalobah or Ruben Loftus-Cheek were still there they could get rid of Matic and play a younger kid". You've got to understand what the club is all about.

"But he (Conte) spoke about him in such a way about his incredible importance to the job they did past year, Matic and N'Golo Kante in front of that back three".

However, and despite Conte's persistent grumblings about the lack of depth in his squad, the Serbian enforcer has not only left Chelsea, but also strengthened the ranks of a direct rival in Man United.

"They have weakened their own team and strengthened Manchester United, who now have a better chance of winning the Premier League than Chelsea".

Matic played in the defensive midfield position he had played so superbly for Chelsea and instantly made United look a more effective and dynamic unit, albeit a class below their illustrious Spanish opponents.

Antonio Conte told the Evening Standard that he had hoped to utilize Nemanja Matic in a mentorship role for the newly acquired Tiemoue Bakayoko. Will he gel alongside Kante?
