Malayalam star Dulquer Salmaan, who has been part of blockbuster films, such as OK Kanmani, Bangalore Days and Charlie, is all set to make his debut in Bollywood. The said film also marks the directorial debut of Akarsh Khurana with it being scripted by Hussain Dalal.
Bollywood hit filmmaker Karan Johar on Saturday launched the much-awaited teaser of young heartthrob Dulquer Salman's upcoming film Solo. Besides the duo, it will star Irrfan Khan, although the character details of all of them are now kept under wraps. As per a source close to the project, it was revealed, "It's a light-hearted comedy that will see Dulquer and Irrfan as friends on a road trip". The shoot for his film will begin in September first week and locations will be the picturesque locales of Ooty and Kochi. However, he didn't get much success in his Bollywood innings.
Dulquer is playing the hero in director Bejoy Nambiar's Solo which is gearing up for release.
In fact, there were rumours of him making his debut with the Hindi version of "OK Kanmani" which was called as "OK Jaanu", but the male lead role was played Aditya Roy Kapur.
