'Series two will be a whole new adventure'.
"The first season of "Fleabag" introduced audiences to the brilliant and rebellious voice of Phoebe Waller-Bridge", Amazon Studios" Joe Lewis says in a statement. She's set to star in the upcoming Han Solo film and is showrunning the forthcoming BBC America series Killing Eve.
Producers Two Brothers Pictures said: 'Obviously we couldn't be more excited to be working with the ridiculously talented Phoebe again, and we can't wait to see what the next chapter in Fleabag's life brings'.
"Fleabag" made a number of best-of lists for 2016.
Season one was adapted from Waller-Bridges' award-winning play.
Waller-Bridge penned the comedy about an angry, cash-strapped, grief-riddled, porn-watching young woman trying to come to terms with a recent tragedy.
And the BBC's controller of comedy, Shane Allen, who was interviewing Phoebe in Edinburgh, said Fleabag "signalled the arrival of a hugely distinctive writer with the mesmerising performing talent to watch".
Fleabag also stars Sian Clifford (Midsomer Murders), Jenny Rainsford (About Time), Brett Gelman (Love), Bill Paterson (Outlander), Olivia Colman (Broadchurch), Ben Aldridge (Our Girl) and Hugh Skinner (Les Misérables). A Two Brothers Pictures production in association with DryWrite, Fleabag was directed by Harry Bradbeer (Killing Eve, Dickensian), and executive produced by Harry Williams and Jack Williams (Rellik, The Missing) of Two Brothers Pictures, Lydia Hampson (The Art of Foley) and Waller-Bridge, and distributed by all3media worldwide.
