John Cena is now scheduled to be in China next week so it's doubtful he'll be featured.
Cena is now not advertised for the September 18 edition of RAW at the SAP Center in San Jose, California.
Dave Meltzer noted after Raw on Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE's original creative for the match was for Lesnar to retain the Universal Championship. This week's show, which featured more drama between John Cena and Roman Reigns, Cena facing Braun Strowman, more build up to No Mercy, and an 8-man tag team main event, drew 2.903 million viewers.
This week John Cena told Roman Reigns he was like a drug test because he would never pass him.
Although Cena seems to have the upper hand in terms of verbal warfare heading into this week's Raw, live in San Jose, The Big Dog could be saving his most cutting remarks for last. Meltzer said that it was WWE's decision to not use one of Lesnar's dates for the go-home show and instead use it for this week's Raw.
