"He has a lot of room to improve in tactical and physical aspects but I'm very happy because he's improving a lot".

And the Chelsea boss said: "Baka is a good player and a good signing for us".

The former also completed of his five take-ons, regarded with the potential of eventually filling the void that Nemanja Matic left in his move to Manchester United.

"It is so very important to have a powerful player in this league because it is very tough physically". He can improve a lot with the ball.

"We did the same with N'Golo when he arrived here".

Kante won both the PFA Player of the Year and FWA Player of the Year awards last season, becoming the most defensively-minded footballer to win the award since John Terry in 2005.

"We try to play with an identity and if you want to give an identity to your team, every single player needs to know very well your idea of football". Now he's a complete player with the ball and without it. "And we want to do the same with Baka". He can improve a lot with the ball and we are working a lot on this.

"Baka without the ball is a really strong player, a physical player".

However Kante then turned out to be a key figure in Chelsea's Premier League title triumph, winning the league for a second straight season after his victory with Leicester. You know he is a special character, but we all love him.

"Last season I said during many press conferences about N'Golo that he could improve a lot with the ball", Conte told reporters.

How successful he has been so far will depend very much on how quiet Kante and Bakayoko can keep Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez this afternoon.
