Home-grown consumer electronics company Lava on Wednesday updated its Helium series of notebooks catalogue with the launch of a budget-oriented notebook, dubbed as the "Helium 12" in the Indian tech market. It is priced at Rs 12,999 and will be available in all major e-commerce portals as well as on multi-brand outlets across 14 Indian cities. The notebook features a 12.5-inches HD display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels and an aspect ratio of 16:9. It is powered by an Intel Atom x5-Z8350 processor clocked at 1.88GHz and runs on Windows 10 Home OS.
On June, Lava introduced Helium 14 Laptop with a price tag of Rs. 14,999. Dimensionally, the notebook measures just 20 mm thin and weighs only 1.3 Kg. The processor is teamed up with 2GB RAM and 32GB of default storage that can be expanded further up to 128GB using a microSD card.
As the Lava laptop comes with the anniversary edition of Windows, it is preloaded with the Microsoft digital assistant Cortana and free Windows Defender for a lifetime. A 10,000mAh battery completes the list of the specs. There is a VGA webcam for video calling capabilities. The colour option includes Gold and Silver. In terms of connectivity, it offers Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a USB 2.0 port and a USB 3.0 port.
