Clinton Foundation officials said that they would not repay around $250,000 in donations that Weinstein gave to the foundation. Film producer Harvey Weinstein attends the 2016 amfAR New York Gala at Cipriani Wall Street in Manhattan, New York February 10, 2016.
Harvey will be on speakerphone for the board of directors' meeting for The Weinstein Company, which he and his brother founded, since he is in treatment for sex addiction in Arizona amid accusations of rape and other misconduct.
The Clinton Foundation is not the only organization to refuse to return Weinstein's donations, however. Bill Clinton was not available for comment.
Chelsea literally ran away from reporters on Saturday when approached about the money the foundation received from Mr. Weinstein, who is being accused of sexual misconduct by more than 30 women. Yet the former secretary of state and Democratic nominee released a statement only after several days of requests acting as if it was the first time she had learned about it. As reported last week, there's a clause that calls for Harvey to pay steep penalties (and any legal judgment or settlement) for violating the Code, and another that says he's entitled to mediation and arbitration if TWC wants to fire him. "The behavior described by women coming forward can not be tolerated".
Two weeks after Democrat Golden Girls Hillary Clinton and Michelle Obama attacked women who voted for Donald Trump as having "voted against their own voices", the scandal of Harvey Weinstein and Hollywood happens.
