The Centre's special representative of Jammu and Kashmir, Dineshwar Sharma, on Thursday said he has not succeeded in holding talks with the Hurriyat as of now.
Meanwhile Sharma informed Governor about his talks with various individuals and groups in the Valley and the major concerns which had been voiced by those he had met on his first visit to Kashmir.
As Sharma reached the State Guest House on the Canal Road here, he had a meeting with Chief Secretary B B Vyas and Director General of Police Dr S P Vaid.
Sharma made the remark after meeting lone Communist leader from Kashmir Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami, former minister Ghulam Hassan Mir and independent MLA Hakim Yasin.
"Our party representatives had sought an audience with him in Srinagar, but he told them that he will be meeting the party leaders in Jammu", the BJP state chief said, adding, "We will discuss with him the situation prevailing in both the Valley and Jammu region". Tomorrow, he will be meeting almost 26 delegations including various political and non political organisations.
