The deal includes 12 additional aircraft with purchase rights.
Bombardier Inc expects two recently-announced orders for its CSeries jets to be finalized by the end of 2017, Commercial Aircraft President Fred Cromer told reporters by phone from Dubai.
"We undertook a thorough evaluation process of our fleet and realized that the CS300 would fit perfectly into our business plans and growth strategy", EgyptAir's chairman Safwat Musallam said.
Bombardier on Tuesday said EgyptAir signed a letter of intent to purchase up to 24 of the plane maker's CS300 aircraft.
"We selected the C Series aircraft because of its range which will allow us to better serve domestic and regional destinations, including neighbouring Arab cities, the Middle East as well as several European destinations".
Bombardier has faced a series of problems over the plane, most recently a trade dispute in the U.S. that imposed a 300% import tariff.
