So when developers port their VR content to Vive Wave, they can choose to adopt 3DoF hand input or keep 6DoF by using additional accessories. Choice is great, of course, but when each device has its own content platform, it's hard for developers to support all systems, paving the way for one platform to dominate. This unit aims to offer a different kind of VR solution. Therefore it seems likely that those companies intent to integrate Vive Wave into their hardware. Alongside that reveal was the news that it would be supported by a new open platform called Vive Wave.
The VR headset is also optimized by Vive Wave VR open platform where developers can add VR-ready content.
HTC Vive report it is concerned by the continuing fragmentation of the VR market, particularly in China. By eliminating both the PC and the phone requirements, users aren't dependent on any other device for their VR experiences.
