This is IKEA UK's sixth consecutive year of growth, with a +57 per cent increase in sales over the last six years.
Swedish flatpack furniture retailer Ikea says it achieved total United Kingdom sales of £1.814bn in the United Kingdom for the financial year ending 31 August 2017.
In addition, the Swedish retail giant increased its market share by 0.5 per cent, as it progresses towards its ambition of increasing its overall market share to 15 per cent by 2027.

Over the previous year 57.2 million people visited its United Kingdom stores, including its giant site beside the M6 at Wednesbury.
A new website has also been launched during the recent financial year, with online now accounting for 15% of total sales.
The retailer created 1,000 jobs this year, with plans to recruit another 850 workers when it launches new stores in Greenwich and Exeter.

Ikea says it created 1,000 new jobs a year ago, bringing its total number of United Kingdom workers to 10,900.
