It looks like Final Fantasy XV's multiplayer expansion "Comrades, " which is rolling out today around the world, is really doing the work of tying up the story of the extended Final Fantasy XV universe.
FINAL FANTASY XV MULTIPLAYER EXPANSION: COMRADES is available now for players who purchased FINAL FANTASY XV and the FINAL FANTASY XV Season Pass.
Given its multiplayer contents, "Comrades" requires a PlayStation Plus subscription on PlayStation 4, or an Xbox Live Gold membership on Xbox One.
The expansion, that is part of the season pass and costs $19.99 when purchased on its own (funnily, it's nearly the whole price of the $24.99 season pass), places the player in the fancy boots of one of the survivors of the Kingsglaive, as they strive to make sense of the world after the main game's infamous 13th chapter.
In Comrades, players can create and customize their own avatar and partake in epic quests in a world engulfed by darkness. These quests will allow up to four players to cooperate and receive rewards through completion of these various missions.
The "King's Protection" is a feature that has been implemented for Comrades.
