Inside, the Scorpio facelift carries over the same dashboard layout.

Mahindra has given the Scorpio few cosmetic updates. Peak power and torque are also produced at lower revs now, the 140PS is produced at 3750rpm as opposed 120PS at 4000rpm, while 320Nm is on offer from just 1500rpm as opposed to 280Nm from 1800rpm. Fitted with a tuned mHawk engine that can churn out 140 bhp, Mahindra is calling this refreshed iteration of the popular Indian SUV the "most-powerful Scorpio ever". The new, facelift variant of the four-wheeler gets several exterior changes that are easily identifiable.

A dominant force in the SUV landscape since its launch in 2002, the Scorpio is a style statement and a symbol of adventure, power & thrill and the new All Powerful Scorpio will further take it to greater heights. All the variants of the Scorpio facelift have been completely overhauled. The S11 will be the top-of-the-line variant of the Scorpio. The S5 and S7 variants will get the 2.2-litre mHawk engine in the same state of tune as before, offering 120PS and 280Nm of torque.

The top-of-the-line version S11 is powered by a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel unit that makes 138bhp of power and comes paired to a 6-speed manual transmission with 4WD. S3 - the base model of the new Scorpio with the older m2DICR engine will produce 75 bhp.

A long list of SUVs are waiting to give a tough competition to the all new Mahindra Scorpio. Now consumers will have more colour options in the Scorpio to choose from.

This version gets a new set of ORVMs with integrated turn signals and it rides on 17-inch, 5-spoke alloy wheels finished in silver.

As per the spy shots, it gets a new Jeep-inspired grille with seven slats and subtly redesigned front bumper.

Its interior has been made plush with premium faux leather seats, faux leather wrapped steering and gear lever, new roof mounted sunglass holder and enhanced storage spaces. The GPS navigation system in the new Scorpio will support 10 languages.

Scorpio's tough chassis based SUV-build makes it safer than cars and gives it significantly better rough road & off-road capabilities.

Safety features like ABS and driver and passenger side airbags are available on the top 3 variants.
