Kane has claimed the Premier League Golden Boot for the last two seasons at Tottenham and has carried on his goalscoring form into this season.

The 75-year-old also said that Kane would be a fantastic recipient of the England captaincy ahead of the World Cup in Russian Federation next summer.

But Kane is not the all-time leading Premier League scorer against Wenger. Harry Kane's a Gooner.

"For Harry Kane to score as many goals as he does he needs to have confidence in his team-mates". The offensive player is going to help you win the game because they are the one scoring goals.

Tottenham Hotspur striker Kane, who is hoping to maintain his run of scoring in every north London derby he has played when his side face Arsenal on Saturday, has scored 86 goals in 126 Premier League appearances. "He's their man striker, he's their goalscorer and he's like a talisman in the team", the Cameroonian added.

Last month, Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola referred to Tottenham as the "Harry Kane team" when assessing their title rivals but Bassong offered a different view.

"I have chosen a team for the opening game in Russian Federation but the fact it is open for debate tells you we have options", he wrote in his column for The Sun.

Tottenham are now third in the league standings, trailing second-placed Manchester United on goal difference and eight points behind leaders Manchester City.
