The model was followed by the Subaru Ascent this year during the New York Auto Show and we're now just about ready to witness the arrival of the namesake production series model, scheduled to debut on November 28 during this year's edition of the Los Angeles Auto Show.
The accompanying teaser image doesn't tell us a lot about the car's final design, aside from it having an upright tailgate, a black rear bumper, and wraparound taillights featuring a C-shaped motif.
Expect all of the details on the 2019 Ascent to appear in a couple weeks out of LA. It will be based on a modified version of the Subaru Global Platform. Since both of those concepts were given a boxy body shape, we are expecting to see the same when the Ascent is unveiled. Naturally, all-wheel drive of the symmetrical type is involved, along with an alleged new turbocharged boxer engine using direct injection.
