The new Redmi Y1, along with the Redmi Y1 Lite, will be available for purchase from both Amazon India and Mi.com; the quantities are likely to be limited, so fans will have to be quick if they want to snag a unit when the sale starts at 12pm IST. On this front, Y1 device is packed with a 16-megapixel front camera (as reported here).
The organization is also touting the Beautify 3.0 component on it, which enhances selfie photographs. It bears a fingerprint sensor on the rear panel.
The new mobile has been propelled in Gold and Dark Gray shading variations.
Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1, Global Positioning System and an infrared port.

The Redmi Note 5A, on the other hand, comes with rather chunky bezels, and it looks like previous phones in the series, though the Redmi Note 5 is expected to change that along with the Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus, all of which are expected to ship with much thinner bezels. On the optics front, there's a 13-megapixel camera with LED flash and PDAF.
Xiaomi Redmi Y1 cost in India begins at Rs. 8,999 for the 32GB storage and 3GB RAM variation, going up to Rs. 10,999 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variation. The Redmi Y1 Lite sports 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage and is priced at 6,999.
