The video is named Game of Tag and was filmed in 1999 by Artur Zmijewski.

"Extensive research recently revealed that the site where the video was filmed is the gas chamber at the Stutthof concentration camp, and it is this discovery which prompted the demand for clarifications from the Polish leaders and the administration of the Stutthof concentration camp site", the letter read.

Holocaust survivor groups have asked Poland's president to explain why artists were allowed to film a game of naked tag inside a former Nazi camp gas chamber.

The video, called "Game of Tag", was originally displayed in 2015 at Krakow's Museum of Contemporary Art, and depicts a group of alleged artists playing tag while naked in the gas chamber of the former Nazi death camp Stutthof in Poland, according to Times of Israel (TOI). They also called on Duda to "clearly, properly condemn this so-called artwork".

"It is the most disgusting thing I've seen in a long time", Efraim Zuroff, the Wiesenthal Center's chief Nazi hunter, said in 2015 about the exhibition. "In Poland for some reason, which lost 6 million people - 3 million Jews and 3 million Poles - they didn't get it", he said.

Britain's Prince William Duke of Cambridge and Catherine Duchess of Cambridge meet with former prisoners of the camp Manfred Goldberg and Zigi Shipper during a visit to the Former Nazi German Concentration Camp KL Stutthof

Jerusalem-based lawyer David Schonberg first noticed that Mr Żmijewski's video was shot in Stutthof after noticing that footage from William and Catherine's visit in July showed the same stains on the walls, ledge along one side, plughole in the centre and doors at each end.

"This also requires proper scrutiny of these sites and making sure that objectionable materials that are so insensitive to the memory of the Holocaust will not be brought on public display".

The video was part of an exhibition titled "Poland - Israel - Germany".

The film is still hosted on the museum's website, with a warning: "This page contains content intended for adults only".

Since the development the Simon Wiesenthal Center, which investigates Nazi war criminals, and the Center of Organisation of Holocaust Survivors in Israel have written to the President of Poland to find out if the photographer had permission to use the gas chamber.
