The Dead & Company are postponing three shows following guitarist John Mayer's surprise surgery from a bout of appendicitis on Tuesday (Dec. 5). Information on the rescheduled date will be announced as soon as possible.
Ticketholders can also seek a refund at point of purchase, according to the band's social media account.
The Dec. 5 show at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans was officially postponed yesterday.
The 40-year-old had performed with the Dead & Company as recently as Sunday. The details surrounding his health are as yet unclear, but he was forced to reschedule a performance from the new Grateful Dead project Dead and Company.
The band features former members of '60s psychedelic folk heroes The Grateful Dead including Bob Weir, Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann, plus other musicians such as Mayer and bassist Oteil Burbridge.
