Arsenal vs BATE Borisov

Postado Dezembro 07, 2017

Arsenal wrap up their Europa League group stage on Thursday night against Bate Borisov at the Emirates in what is a dead rubber for Arsene Wenger's side.

They suffered a chastening 3-1 defeat to Manchester United on Saturday that ended a 12-game winning run at home in the top flight. "We have just a small problem with Mustafi from Saturday, but everybody else looks alright".

The Germany worldwide sustained the "minor thigh problem" in the lead-up to Manchester United's second goal in just the 11th of the game last weekend. "It's a possibility - if not Southampton, it will be [for] West Ham", he is quoted as saying on Arsenal's official website.

Olivier Giroud, Jack Wilshere and Theo Walcott have not started a Premier League match between them in 2017-18, but have played in Europa League ties.

The Gunners have managed to qualify without using a number of regular first-team players in European games.

"Looking forward to the next three games Wenger insisted team selection will not change against Borisov because the group has been won, saying: "[It won't change] too much because I have many players available who need competition.

The Gunners are at the start of the busiest period of the domestic season and have six more Premier League fixtures to play before the end of December.

On Thursday, however, they play host to a BATE Borisov side who need to pick up three points to keep alive their hopes of reaching the round of 32. He had a test on Friday morning, then even when he went to the game we weren't sure if he would play.
