David Cassidy Cuts Daughter out From His Will, but Not Son

The website reported that David's last will and testament stated that "while he has two children - Beau and Katie - any references to his "child or children" are only to Beau and not to Katie".

David and Katie Cassidy had a complicated relationship.

In docs provided by the outlet, Cassidy, who died on November 21 at the age of 67, stated in the will, "It is my specific intent not to provide any benefits hereunder to Katherine Evelyn Cassidy and/or any descendant of Katherine Evelyn Cassidy".

Katie was raised by her mother, former model Sherry Williams. Cassidy tried to fix his relationship with his daughter for several years, but he confirmed earlier this year that they were no longer communicating.

It comes just weeks after Katie posted a touching message on social media following her father's death saying "Words cant express the solace our family's received from all the love & support during this trying time". I was her biological father but I didn't raise her. "She has a completely different life", he said. "She's very talented. It's hard for me to even accept how old she is now, like 30".

"I've never had a relationship with her", David told People in February.

During the same interview, Cassidy gushed over his son, Beau, who he still had a relationship with at that time.

Though they were never close, Cassidy said he was "proud" of the career has daughter had carved out for herself in Hollywood. Following her father's death, Katie did make a touching tribute to him on Twitter. The documents also revealed that Cassidy's three half-siblings - Ryan, 51, Patrick, 55, and Shaun, 59 - were given his music memorabilia.

The will was filed in 2004 and named Susan as the personal representative, but David's cousin assumed the role after David and Susan divorced in 2016.
