In the poster which was shared by Ranveer Singh on Twitter sees the ever loud and vibrant Singh showcasing his inner persona under the avatar of a "notorious" police officer. Simmba will be Karan Johar's next big project once he has wrapped up his much awaited Student of the Year 2. Co-produced by Rohit Shetty Picturez and Dharma Productions, Simmba is scheduled to arrive in theatres across the world on 28th December, 2018. The teaser poster will definitely be loved by those who love the actor for his high on life and carefree attitude. This morning, both Karan and Ranveer took to their social media handles to share the first look of the Bajirao Mastani actor as Inspector Sangram Bhalerao in Simmba.
In a report on BollywoodHungama.com, Shetty was quoted as saying, "We have bought the rights of Temper, but our film is not exactly a remake".
The film has been directed by Rohit Shetty of Golmaal and Chennai Express fame. Rohit Shetty who is popular for making action movies, had acquired the Hindi remake rights of the movie and Padmavati star Ranveer Singh will reprise the role of Tarak in the Hindi version. It's what we did with Singham. He wrote, "28th December 2018! Also, I'd surely like to work with Rohit Shetty again". He captioned it, "SANGRAM BHALERAO aka #Simmba! You have to connect with the masses if you have to be a superstar".
Rohit will start shooting for the hardcore action drama sometime around April next year.
