Similarities to the work of Comme des Garcons designer Rei Kawakubo and Vetements' Demna Gvasalia were first noticed by the Instagram account Diet Prada, which posts images of designer knockoffs.

But Page Six is told that the pieces in question were intended as an "homage" to the designers and that they had always meant to donate the profits from those items to charity because they're "using another designer's work".

One of the items, a glittery silver dress, was done by Vetements and West had one created especially for North as it didn't come in kids' sizes. "Great message for the little ones!"

"The idea behind Kids Supply is to give people the opportunity to purchase things that would never be available for children otherwise". We chose to release the Demma dress after making one on our own for North because it got such a great reaction and overflow for people wanting it for their children'.

"We made a decision to release the Demna dress after making one on our own for North because it got such a great reaction and an overflow of people wanting it for their own children", explaining the name came from one of Kardashian and North's "mommy and me" moments. The Rei jacket was a mixture of some of our favorite souvenir jacket art. We have been collecting for years and have archive of them. We named it the Rei Jacket out of the utmost respect for her, ' the statement added just to make sure it proves just how much inspiration Kim took from the designers that we have mentioned above.

In addition, the rep said that 100% of the proceeds from both pieces will be donated to the Children's Hospital Los Angeles, which Kim also confirmed on her Instagram Story on Wednesday (December 6).
