Stipe Miocic To Defend Heavyweight Strap Against Francis Ngannou At UFC 220

Postado Dezembro 07, 2017

Ngannou has looked unstoppable since first arriving in the UFC while recording six straight wins including his vicious one punch knockout against Overeem this pastSaturdayat UFC 218 in Detroit.

"Now they've got a star", Rogan told Wren (transcribed by Mike Bohn for MMA Junkie).

Ngannou's power has fired him in contention to fight champion Stipe Miocic, but his coach clearly has plans beyond MMA.

'Anyone that has that equalizer will fare well.

And it also appears he's eyeing up a title in the sport of boxing.

"Everyone was so enthralled about the Conor McGregor/Floyd Mayweather fight. That would be a real fight, where an MMA fighter could go in there and upset a current boxing champion", he added.

Joshua and Wilder are feared for their incredible power with both men accumulating an impressive knockout record.

The British king is 20-0 with 20 straight knockouts while Wilder has earned 38 stoppages from 39 fights.

The Conor McGregor vs Floyd Mayweather fight was one of the most hyped and talked about confrontations of recent times, generating unprecedented levels of interest that perhaps nobody was quite expecting.

Now Ngannou is getting his shot at Miocic and the heavyweight title with the new fight expected to headline UFC 220 with light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier taking on Volkan Oezdemir in the co-main event. It was Miocic's second successful title defense.

'This isn't some jock-type guy, ' Cooper continued. Everything is coming to fruition right now'.
