PYONGYANG-A senior United Nations official and North Korea's foreign minister have held talks in Pyongyang.

Feltman, an American citizen and former State Department official, arrived in Pyongyang on Tuesday.
The two officials are said to have discussed Russian involvement in humanitarian programs in the North as well as assess the current situation on the Korean peninsula.
On Wednesday, Feltman met with the Russian ambassador to North Korea Alexander Matsegora, according to the Russian embassy's website.
U.N. Secretary General Antonio Guterres had, on several occasions, expressed his willingness to broker talks between North Korea and the global community.
The Mansudae Assembly Hall hosts the regime's parliamentary meetings in addition to various state events and meetings between foreign visitors and North Korean officials.
