Oppo India has launched the third iteration of Oppo F5, and the third one goes by the name Oppo F5 Youth Edition. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6763T (Helio P23) SoC, coupled with 3GB of RAM. The price tag is a not-too-over-the-top Rs 16,990. Compared to the F5, the F5 6GB came with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
Furthermore, Oppo F5 houses a 20-megapixel selfie camera whereas the F5 Youth features a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. This specific model is made in a such a way that, it nearly resembles the original Oppo F5, but has a bit of change, that brings down the device's price from ₹19,999 t0 16,999. It also carries a 6-inch LTPS TFT display with an 18:9 aspect ratio bearing a resolution of 2160 by 1080 pixels much like the OPPO F5, but the main camera with an f/2.2 aperture took a hit and now clocks in at a lower resolution of 13-megapixel.
The Oppo F5 Youth was unveiled recently in the Philippines as a watered-down variant of the Oppo F5. The smartphone also has dual-SIM card support in addition to a dedicated microSD card slot. The device comes with a fingerprint sensor on the back. The device will be available from both online and offline stores starting from today.
On the imaging front, the F5 Youth comes with a 13MP rear camera with an aperture of f/2.2 and an LED flash. You will work with ColorOS 3.2 OS based on Android 7.1 Nougat. As one can expect, the device does offer standard features like WiFi, WiFi Hotspot, Wireless FM Radio, Bluetooth, and 3.5 mm headphone jack. Also, there is face unlock feature on board.
