Described by developer The Astronauts as a dark fantasy shooter, the trailer shows the game's protagonist going to-to-toe with some fearsome creatures that look to have been pulled straight out of a nightmare. Although we don't have much information on the upcoming title, the awards ceremony did unveil the game's first official trailer in front of a worldwide audience. You can check out the announcement trailer for Witchfire in the embed above.
Witchfire, according to The Astronauts, is a game the team wants to make "unlike anything" they've done in the past in tone and in terms of mechanics. It utilizes photogrammetry tech as The Vanishing of Ethan Carter did as well, and with the experience learned from the previous games, there's no doubt the team can create something pretty fantastic here.
No release date has been attached the project, and no platforms besides PC have been announced.
