"Now, if police want me to do some major crime, I shall kill Salman Khan and that too in Jodhpur", he added. Followed by the threat, things took a different turn when a few armed men landed on the sets of the film Race 3 at Film City in Mumbai on January 10, 2018.
Salman Khan is now in Mumbai shooting for his forthcoming film Race 3 in the suburban studio in Film City. Belonging to the same community in Rajasthan is Lawrence Bishnoi.
Days back, Rajasthan gangster Lawrence Bishnoi threatened to kill Salman in Jodhpur, where he had gone for the hearing of the blackbuck poaching case. Salman was then escorted home by a team of cops.
On a related note, along with Salman, the movie also features Anil Kapoor, Daisy Shah and Jacqueline Fernandez. "The actor is often spotted about town without security or even his bodyguard, Shera, but anticipating an unprecedented attack, he has been asked to be extra safe". While he was escorted in another vehicle with six cops, his own auto was driven by cops till his residence.
Lawrence Bishnoi hails from the Bishnoi community that worships black bucks. Salman had appeared in Jodhpur court last week in connection to the killing of black bucks in 1998.
The shooting was stopped immediately and the actor escorted home by the police. On the other hand, Race 3 producer Ramesh Taurani has confirmed that the security has been strengthened on the sets of the film following the recent incident.
Salman has been provided extra security since then.
A senior police officer said, "We are taking Bishnoi's threat seriously but we have assured Salman that he will receive maximum police protection. There are additional bouncers, guards and personnel to safeguard Salman and the unit at all times", he said. Actor has been asked to discontinue his cycling schedule and also to not inform fans of his location on social media.
