Kenyatta wishes Ramaphosa, new ANC NEC well

Ramaphosa said the exploitation of natural resources would create job opportunities for the youth.

Mr. Kenyatta however took the hit and did not miss a step as he buttoned his coat and proceeded to meet President Jacob Zuma who was waiting for him.

President Zuma announced that he would host President Kenyatta for a State visit later this year.

In a video that is slowly getting viral and one that was seen by Zipo.co.ke, Kenyatta is seen alighting from his limousine with one security officer opening the door but his counterpart delays to hold it making it swing back and hit the President as he adjusted his coat.

President Kenyatta is on his first working visit to South Africa since his inauguration in November 2017.

On Thursday afternoon, the two will review the progress in the implementation of agreements signed earlier between the two countries and explore new areas to strengthen ties.

Since becoming ANC president in December‚ Ramaphosa has preached unity in the party‚ constantly saying that competing factions before the December conference should now come together.

"I am happy to participate in the ANC birthday celebrations".

President Kenyatta will utilize the meeting at his villa to congratulate Ramaphosa for winning a competitive race for the leadership position of the African National Congress (ANC) presidency, and appraise him of key bilateral issues, including immigration.

Ramaphosa is a veteran of the anti-apartheid struggle, and was the lead negotiator in talks to end apartheid and the writing of the country's constitution.

"Nelson Mandela would have wanted us to rid the ANC of corruption, to make sure the ANC becomes attractive to the people of South Africa once again".
