53-year-old Grant seems to be oscillating between trying to endear herself to the soon-to-be-royal with whom she has had no communication since 2014, and lashing out at her. Approximately five seconds after it was announced that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were dating, Meghan's half-sister Samantha Grant came out of the woodwork and started talking crap about the Suits star. "I can only say to Meg, 'Forgive me, '" she tells the Mirror.
The half-sister also claims that despite its snarky title, her book does not criticise Markle but instead pokes fun at "social perceptions and labels".
Samantha, who now lives in Florida, says the last time she spoke to Meghan was in 2014.
'I'd be lying to say that I wouldn't be hurt if I didn't get an invite but that's really up to her.
Samantha recently made comments about that $75,000 dress Meghan wore for her engagement announcement photos with Prince Harry.
She told In Touch "If you can spend $US75,000 on a dress, you can spend $US75,000 on your dad".
At the end of the day however, Samantha says that very last time they spoke years ago, they ended on a positive note.
'Her last words were, "I love you, babe". I'm really glad we had this conversation.
Whether she is invited or not, Ms Grant approves of her half sister's royal love match, telling the Mirror that Harry is "quirky and cute, and perfect" for Markle.
'They'll be elf-like, cute, amusing kids that always look like they have a secret - giggling and charming.
Samanatha also backtracked on comments she made after Harry made a comment just after Christmas saying the royals will be the family Meghan 'never had'. No one was estranged, she was just too busy'. I guess because they're royal they can have that and that's incredible'.
