Postado Janeiro 14, 2018

A 16-year-old girl was stabbed to death by another teen inside a Dunkin' Donuts in Westchester County Wednesday afternoon, and police said they are searching for the killer.

There was an argument, according to police, that ended with Brown stabbing the Schwab twice in the left side with what police believe is a steak knife. The student was taken to Jacobi Medical Center where she later died.

Z'inah Brown is a student at New Rochelle High School and is wanted in the fatal stabbing of her classmate. She fled the Dunkin Donuts immediately after the 12:21 p.m. stabbing, leaving the dying student behind and remaking her way into a school building.

City officials said Brown surrendered to police at 1 p.m. and was charged with murder. Police said she and a teenage boy got into a fight with at least six other teenagers in the Dunkin Donuts at 646 North Avenue, across from Iona College.

UPDATE - suspect in New Rochelle student homicide has surrendered to police.

At one point, authorities say Schwab used pepper spray against Brown.

"Our hearts go out to all who have been touched by this tragic occurrence", said a statement from the New Rochelle school district.

Schwab was stabbed in the Dunkin' Donuts, and transported to a hospital where she was pronounced dead. Grief counselors and extra security were on hand Thursday. 'This is a devastating loss for our school community, and our deepest condolences go out to Valaree's family and friends'.
