All the News and Trailers from January 11's Nintendo Direct Mini

Postado Janeiro 14, 2018

Nintendo had perhaps its best year in decades in 2017, and fans are eager to see if the gaming giant can maintain its headlong momentum.

Starting with new games, Nintendo unveiled Mario Tennis Aces for the Nintendo Switch.

P.S.: None of the rumors for the January Direct were correct (some of them were partially correct).

When a pre-recorded Nintendo Direct presentation dropped out of nowhere on the company's website yesterday, it immediately became one of the top trending stories of the day.

The Switch port of Dragon Quest Builders, the Dragon Quest-themed take on Minecraft, has a demo available today.

How these issues will be resolved will fall largely into the wait-and-see category, but as the Switch appears to have strong third-party support, 2018 could be another banner year for Nintendo's hit console.

Aside from these two headliners, my favorite announcement of the Nintendo Direct Mini was the arrival of Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze to the Switch.

Free DLC will be heading to Super Mario Odyssey in the form of a mini-game called Balloon World. In Hide It mode, players have a certain amount of time to hide a balloon. June brought us ARMS, July featured Splatoon 2, August had Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, and Super Mario Odyssey landed in October. The DLC will be available this Spring.

Pokken Tournament DX has a new Battle Pack, which essentially serves as the game's Season Pass.
