According to The Journal, Clifford has privately alleged the encounter took place after the two met at a July 2006 celebrity golf tournament in Lake Tahoe.

The Daily Beast said that Trump's relationship with Daniels had been confirmed by two other sources. "Let's have some fun!'" Evans said.

Gossip about the Trump-Daniels relationship first surfaced on a website called TheDirty.com in October 2011, with a post entitled:"World Exclusive: Donald Trump Cheats on His Wife Melania Trump While She Was Pregnant". "Then she said he offered her keys to his condos in Florida, and I was like, 'Wow, guess you had a good night, ' and that was the last we ever spoke of it".

Nonetheless, Daniels posed with Trump for a photo at the celebrity golf event that she ended up posting to her MySpace page.

But she reached an agreement with Trump's longtime attorney Michael Cohen for a nondisclosure agreement, amounting to $130,000, through Clifford's lawyer, Keith Davidson, the Journal reported. Cohen also sent the Journal a statement signed by "Stormy Daniels" in which the actress denied receiving "hush money" from Trump. "So I bailed on them and turned my phone off".

The Wall Street Journal reported that Trump's lawyer arranged a $130,000 payment for Stormy Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, as part of a nondisclosure agreement that was completed a month before the 2016 USA election. Even the Daily Beast wrote that Daniels also had a tentative interview set up with them.

Speaking during a Los Angeles news conference in October, accompanied by the high-profile discrimination lawyer Gloria Allred, Drake said, "He flirted with me and invited me to walk along the golf course with him", adding that he asked her to his hotel room. "When you're a star, they let you do it, you can do anything ... grab them by the pussy".

After she returned to her room, Drake said, Trump called her asking her to return to his suite and invited her to a party.

"What do you want?"

As Washington D.C. reels through the weekend following a report from the Wall Street Journal that alleged the President Donald Trump's lawyer paid a pornstar $130k to keep quiet about a sex affair, Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders is coming to her boss's defense - with memes.

During the presidential campaign, a videotape emerged of Trump boasting that he could grope women with impunity. Nineteen women have since accused the president of sexual misconduct.
