New Samsung Galaxy J series smartphone leaks out: solid specs, Android Oreo

Postado Janeiro 21, 2018

"Samsung has led smartphone innovations through displays and will continue to do so while Apple is leading hardware technology through a camera equipped with 3D sensing", said Noh Geun-chang, an analyst at Hyundai Motor Investment & Securities. Why is this the case?

Nonetheless, there has been one confirmation that the launch will take place in February, 2018 at Mobile World Conference (MWC) in Barcelona. It seems that it will not be possible to see a normal display when the phone is folded. Its Galaxy Note 8 featured a dual camera setup and now, Samsung's eager to introduce it on the S9/S9+ as well.

The rear cameras on both Galaxy S9 and S9+ are expected to deliver slow-motion which are capable of recording into 1,000fps (frame per second).

Apple's approach to achieving a near-bezel-free design was, of course, the 'notch' in the iPhone X. But a Samsung patent suggests the company is hoping to go one step further, and actually embed the camera and other sensors into the screen itself ... All kinds of rumours are up in the air. This tech allows applying touch capability to the display much earlier in the manufacturing process, resulting in fewer components and decreased costs.

Samsung's smartphone business contributed significantly for the company's profits in 2014, accounting for more than half of its operating profits, but its share has diminished since 2015 as the semiconductor business expanded thanks to the upturn cycle in memory chips.

LG has patented two types of foldable phones which may rival the alleged Samsung Galaxy X, which is rumored to be the first phone with a foldable display to hit the market. In terms of technical specs, both smartphones should offer the Snapdragon 845 processor in the US and the new Exynos abroad.

However, the display won't be saving space in the S9; the circuit boards will also be smaller and thinner than the existing models.

We got a little over four weeks before the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus start to sell. With 4k UHD video making, what else do we need?
