In Teen Titans Go! to the Movies, Robin realizes superheroes have received films before they have. That ultimately never made it to the big screen, but he'll finally have the chance to suit up in animation (via USA Today).
Now, the Academy Award victor is finally getting his chance and will voice the hero in the upcoming Teen Titans GO! to the Movies (via USA Today).
Nicolas Cage, Halsey, and Lil Yachty have been cast as Superman, Wonder Woman, and Green Lantern, respectively, in Warner Bros. Does being a superhero make you any better at video games? My interest in this project has increased considerably based on his casting alone. It's in that spirit of quick, amusing cameos that Cage will make his film debut as Kal-El, the superhero after whom his son is named.
The film opens in theaters on July 27 and follows the Teen Titans, Robin (Scott Menville), Starfire (Hynden Walch), Raven (Tara Strong), Cyborg (Khary Payton) and Beast Boy (Greg Cipes), trying to get their big pop-culture break by seeking out a popular Hollywood director (Kristen Bell). Believe it or not, the studio pulled the plug on that one just days before shooting was set to commence, making it one of the hottest pieces of trivia in superhero film history, with even a documentary about it having been produced in the time since. "The team finds their friendship and their fighting spirit failing, putting the very fate of the Teen Titans themselves on the line".
