State of Decay 2 will not feature any microtransactions.
The details were revealed by Xbox, and it will set you back $69.99. Hopefully the game will be a polished experience when it launches in a few months. This news is made even more notable considering that the first State of Decay, which was released on the Xbox 360 in 2013, did feature microtransactions.
The Collector's Edition for State of Decay 2 has been unveiled, and the wonderfully gory assortment of goodies includes a State of Decay 2 patch, a SteelBook case, zombie mask, a thumb drive in the shape of a severed digit, and a human brain steelbook stand. You've got a full size latex zombie mask, which is flawless for when you need to look good for a job interview, a "thumb drive" USB stick that looks like a thumb, a Steelbook and other things... and then you read the small print and discover that it doesn't actually have the game included.
Last week we got some awesome gameplay from the guys over at Undead Labs, showcasing the imminent release of State of Decay 2. Players who pre-order the game will receive "exclusive" items.
State of Decay 2 will be launching for Xbox One and Windows 10 on 22nd May for $29.99 if you opt for the Standard Edition or $49.99 for the Ultimate Edition, which includes early access to the game and other bonus extras.
