Eagles To Sign DT Haloti Ngata

Postado Março 14, 2018

The Philadelphia Eagles just continue to add to their already dominant defensive line. Also at that time, the Eagles are expected to announce that they acquired defensive end Michael Bennett and cornerback Daryl Worley in separate trades last week. As Dave Zangaro pointed out, Ngata's impact when playing for Detroit last season versus when he wasn't was stark. Prior to that, he had nine very successful years with the Baltimore Ravens, which he helped win the Super Bowl in 2013.

The team's next move came on the other side of the ball, as ESPN reported the team signed veteran defensive tackle Haloti Ngata to a one-year deal. In those five games, Ngata recorded seven tackles and two sacks. Ngata has been a reliable run-stopper over the course of his career and should see the field primarily in obvious running downs. And of course, he'll have the chance to compete for one more championship ring before he calls time on what is potentially a Hall of Fame career.

In January, Ngata told 97.1 FM in Detroit that he wanted to play in 2018.

"I don't want to have problems when I'm older".

He's been selected to five Pro Bowls and was a first-team All-Pro twice.

Ngata has played in 167 games, making 498 tackles with 31.5 sacks, 6 forced fumbles, 5 fumble recoveries and 5 interceptions.
