Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) outfit, Kwara United are set to unveil Abubakar Bala as their new Technical Adviser after sacking John Obuh over poor run.
Bala, before his appointment, was not short of admirers as both Gombe United and Heartland had sought his services, having steered Niger Tornadoes to the Federation Cup final in 2017. He will be unveiled on Wednesday, March 14 in llorin, Kwara state.
A statement by the Media Officer of the club, Abdulwaheed Bibire, confirmed this on Tuesday in Ilorin.
"The immediate mandate is to get the side out of relegation and I sincerely believe that with the cooperation of everybody the task is achievable", said the former FC Lokoja coach.
"I am the technical adviser of Kwara United right now".
"I did that with Niger Tornadoes, they were in 17th position two season ago and we ended the season 11th on the table".
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the club management had earlier given Obuh a three-match ultimatum to either return the club to winning ways or get sacked.
"There are the ones with the management, coaches, and players' as well internal ones".
But they have struggled to make an impact on their return, as they now sit bottom of the table with 11 points from 12 games.
