Ed Sheeran In Talks For Danny Boyle's Music-Themed Movie

Postado Abril 16, 2018

Right now, the plot for Boyle's musical comedy film is a closely-guarded secret, although Lily James (Baby Driver) is slated to star alongside Himesh Patel (from the British soap Eastenders) and Saturday Night Live stalwart Kate McKinnon.

Sheeran already had cameos in The Bastard Executioner, Game of Thrones, and Bridget Jones' Baby, so this would be a continuation of his push into film and TV.

The Daily Mail says that the film is about a man who wakes up one day to find he is the only one who can remember the songs of The Beatles.

Back in 2014, Ed performed a Grammy's tribute to mark the band's 50th anniversary of their first appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show in 1964.

A source close to Working Title, the studio that is making the film, said: "Everything Ed touches turns to gold." .

'He is the biggest hit-maker on the planet.

His rendition of the foursome's track In My Life was so impressive that The Beatles" Paul McCartney sent Sheeran a signed guitar saying: "For Ed, who is brilliant'.

As we reported last month, pic is written by Love Actually scribe Richard Curtis with Slumdog Millionaire helmer Boyle on board to direct.

Filming for the movie is set to take place later on this summer.
