A new Kingdom Hearts III trailer takes a look and what appears to be a collection of minigames appearing in the larger game.
It all went down at the Kingdom Hearts Union χ [Cross] event, titled "Dandelion Meeting", that celebrates the mobile game. It's not exactly surprising that the mini-games will be featured in the series, but it's a nice nod to the classic Disney animation style and gaming ways of the past to include LCD-style games for players to experience. Instead, this new trailer is nearly entirely centered around mini games you'll be able to play during your adventure.
Kingdom Hearts III will allow us to enjoy a great diversity of retro mini-games since Sora will have a console from where we will have access to titles like The Barnyard Battle, The Karnival Kid, Giantland and Musical Farmer.
And they're coming back in Kingdom Hearts III... sort of. For now though, check out the trailer below to see what to expect. You should temper your expectations going in, however, because this trailer doesn't show off much gameplay or give away any real plot details.
As for a release date, Kingdom Hearts 3 is supposedly due sometime this year on Xbox One and PS4, however no solid release date has been set.
While we know that Kingdom Hearts 3 is scheduled to release in 2018, there hasn't been an official date from Square Enix quite yet.
