This year, of the 6754 schools that took part in the exams, 1907 schools reported 100% pass percentage. Virudhnagar district was the topper amongst all the districts with an overall pass percentage of 97.85%.

As the results for Class 12 were declared on Wednesday, girls in Tamil Nadu faired better than the boys, with pass percentage of girls being 94.1 percent in comparison to boys whose pass percentage was 87.7 percent.

The DGE had earlier announced the date and time for the result. It said 1,171 students scored over 1,180 out of 1,200 marks. Now all candidates are waiting for result.

In 2017, the Tamil Nadu Class 12th results were declared on 12 May. Students can check their score using their roll numbers and visiting; tnresults.nic.in.

The Tamil Nadu Directorate of Government Examinations (TNDGE) upload the Tamil Nadu HSC +2 (Class 12th) result on its official website at around 9.30 am. The result will also be available on other third party websites which have been hosting board exam results.

The TN Class 12th examinations were held between 1 March to 6 April 2018.
