The river, which has been steadily rising since Friday morning, is predicted to reach 7.6 feet, according to the National Weather Service. A flood advisory continues through Thursday for the east branch of the DuPage River in Bolingbrook, affecting Will County.
The Rock River at Lake Koshkonong approached "minor flooding" levels on Wednesday, and is expected to border "moderate flooding" levels by the weekend.
Some areas of steadier, heavier rain are possible Monday night and overnight around SE Lower Michigan and Southern Ontario heading into Tuesday morning. The Okanogan River is expected to rise to more than 21 feet by Saturday, which may flood some homes and farmlands.
The Okanogan River near Tonasket is running at more than 18 feet, while flood stage is 15 feet.
The weather service also said emergency management officials reported multiple water rescues around the area before 9 p.m., when flash flooding already started.
