Markle became embroiled in controversy after he allegedly staged paparazzi photographs of himself in the run-up to the nuptials at Windsor Castle this Saturday.
The news comes as reports suggest Meghan's dad is no longer attending the wedding, the third reversal in just over 24 hours on a question that has thrown the wedding plans into chaos. Reports further cited that Thomas was planning on getting out of the hospital and attending his daughter's wedding but then backed out as it was revealed that he had been involved in staged paparazzi photoshoots.
One of the charities chosen by the royal couple is The Children's HIV Association, honouring a cause that was close to Diana's heart on their wedding day. He had to get the OK from his doctors to travel after his heart attack.
However, Thomas Markle may not be able to make it to London despite his change of heart.
After the incident, a spokesperson at the Kensington Palace has said Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have asked for understanding and respect from everybody in the deeply personal moment for the couple, days before their wedding.
The littlest royals - Prince George and Princess Charlotte - will be a part of the bridal party when their uncle, Prince Harry, marries American actress Meghan Markle on May 19. As for reports that the Queen was upset with him, Markle told the website: "I don't think the Queen is thinking about what I'm doing". I didn't want him deprived of that. "But clearly the priority should be whether or not it's safe for him to do that".
While father-in-law Prince Charles and brother-in-law Prince William are in the mix, it looks most likely that the job will fall to the woman who has been at the bride's side her whole life, Meghan Markle's mother, Doria Ragland. He had also been expected to meet the queen, her husband and the other senior members of the Windsor family this week.
Samantha Markle told the TV show "Good Morning Britain" that journalists "rented the house next to him in Mexico, four or five of them".
He said he had agreed to the pictures because he hoped they would improve his image, as previous paparazzi snaps had shown him buying beer and looking dishevelled, TMZ said.
The day after The Mail On Sunday reported that the pictures, which appeared in a number of British newspapers, were mocked up, Ms Markle's father dropped out of the wedding, according to TMZ, telling the site he did not want to "embarrass the royal family or his daughter".
