Actor Harshvardhan Kapoor's second feature film Bhavesh Joshi Superhero has been postponed and now is scheduled to be released on June 1. Helmed by Shashanka Ghosh and bankrolled by Rhea Kapoor, Nikhil Dwivedi, Ekta Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor, the film is set against the backdrop of Delhi, where the girls are born and brought up, their trials and tribulations in modern day world, regarding family acceptance, marriage & societal perceptions. Initially slated to hit theatres on May 25, the makers shared a new poster on Wednesday revealing the new release date.
2018 has already seen many films postponing their release dates.
Exhibitor and distributor Rajesh Thadani feels the reason Harshvardhan's second film, directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, was moved to June 1 could have been buzz about the release of John Abraham's Parmanu.
Explaining the reason behind the change, the makers said in a statement, "It has a greater audience potential and is a safe distance away from holdover Hindi and English releases". Overall, the poster has a dark yet quirky vibe to it, much like the film as the director Vikramaditya Motwane has claimed.
Bhavesh Joshi is the story of a common man who fights injustice in his unique way. It will now clash with Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania-starrer, Veere Di Wedding.
All set for a major movie weekend on June 1, guys? Veere Di Wedding is a story about four friends dealing with different situations in life.
