New Candidate Emerges as Favourite for the Chelsea Job

Chelsea are interested in both Sarri and former Barcelona manager Enrique, with sources believing that Conte's successor is most likely to be one of the pair.

Calciomercato claim Sarri met Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis in Naples today and tomorrow the two parties will meet again in Rome.

With summer signing Alvaro Morata struggling to settle and score regularly, splashing out on a tried and tested striker who has guaranteed goals throughout his career could be what is needed at Stamford Bridge.

While the Italian side may not have gone all the way and won Serie A this term, they have had an incredible campaign and pushed a much stronger Juventus side as far as they could.

Napoli directors are working tireless to ensure they keep the 59-year-old though and, according to Gazzetta Dello Sport, showdown talks have been penned in for Wednesday. The Italian manager is demanding the club invest heavily this summer and his request has reportedly caused issues between Sarri and Napoli board which could result in him leaving this summer.

Chelsea are said to be ready to back Sarri in the transfer market, while he would also earn a high salary by moving to Stamford Bridge.
